Matt is one of those guys that has the gift of story telling. I have had the honor of knowing him for a few years now and he's a super solid person and also makes killer tunes. American Wilderness is an honest album, that does a great job balancing the tension of life and spirituality, which to me are one in the same as I get older. I know Matt feels like this is the best batch of songs he has written and I was delighted to see it peak into the top 5 in singer songwriter on iTunes. Mastering it was a lot of fun, as Randall Kent mixed the crap out of it and Josh Niles also helped engineer it. The combination creates a live feeling, but polished to compete with the best out there. I would highly recommend it to anyone who digs good music.
